Working From Home: No Longer a Remote Possibility
Jackie Ford, a partner in the Vorys Houston office, authored an article for Texas Lawyer titled “Working From Home: No Longer a Remote Possibility.” The article focused on how workplaces have been forced to evolve because of the COVID-19 pandemic and how this will have a lasting impact on the possibility of remote work going forward.
The article states:
“For many workers, what began as “temporary” work-from-home arrangements in March 2020 are still in place and may even become permanent. Governments at every level have sent inconsistent and contradictory messages regarding whether companies should default to at-home work when possible. All of this leaves private employers on their own to navigate complex, and in many respects uncharted, public-health considerations for their workers.”
