COVID-19 Patent Office Updates
In these unforeseen and unique circumstances surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we want to keep our clients abreast of how patent and trademark offices around the world are handling deadlines and other issues. In our Google document you will find the latest updates from various patent and trademark offices around the world. Recent updates include:
- India’s government has extended the lockdown until May 3, 2020. E-filing modules of the IP office remains fully functional for all new filings/submission of documents.
- New Zealand (IPONZ) has released a new online form to more efficiently answer questions and concerns. Extension of deadlines will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
- UAE has announced a wide range of fee reductions intended to support local and foreign companies affected by COVID-19.
- Other general closures & deadline extensions have been added to the document.
