Subrogation Department Secures Six-Figure Settlement in Food Contamination Case

J. Benjamin Staherski, a partner in the Subrogation Department, recently represented both a subrogating insurer and a major food manufacturer with a large self-insured retention in a case against an ingredient supplier. The food manufacturer alleged that the ingredient supplier’s product contained contaminants that the food manufacturer used in its finished products, which resulted in damage to the finished product and a business income loss. Ben aggressively pursued the ingredient supplier and, ultimately, settled the matter for six figures.
