John has 30+ years of experience in insurance coverage, “bad faith” and other claims. His law practice includes representing insurers in complex disputes involving coverage for enviornmental pollution and other high exposure claims.

John has 30+ years of experience in insurance coverage, “bad faith” and other claims. His law practice includes representing insurers in complex disputes involving coverage for enviornmental pollution and other high exposure claims. 

In addition to liability coverage, John has experience handling claims under first-party property insurance policies including claims related to the COVID pandemic. He has also defended insurance agents/brokers malpractice and other claims.

During law school, John served on the staff of the Rutgers Law Journal and authored two criminal law publications. He also interned with the Honorable Edward R. Becker of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

John has conducted in-house training and client programs. He successfully completed the Dickinson School of Law trial advocacy program for practicing lawyers.

John helped design and is a co-editor of the White and Williams Complex Insurance Coverage Reporter publication and website. He serves on the Board of Directors of SeniorLAW Center and oversees a pro bono partnership with the Center and one of the firm’s institutional clients to conduct life planning clinics for Philadelphia area seniors. He was also recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® 2025 for his work in Insurance Law.

  • Represented excess insurer in connection with claims involving nationally-publicized fraternity hazing death case
  • Represented insurer in federal court coverage action involving alleged environmental pollution at multiple former manufactured gas plant (MGP) sites with earliest first operations reportedly predating Civil War (case dismissed on summary judgment)
