OVERVIEW
Richard Miller has extensive legal expertise in litigation and commercial transactions. His diverse litigation experience covers many areas of complex commercial litigation including disputes involving securities, commercial construction and real estate; insurance coverage; bankruptcy; separation of employment; partnership and corporate governance; creditor’s rights; employment law; qui tam litigation; and general business litigation. His transactional experience includes business divorces and partner disputes; real estate finance; hospitality; commercial real estate; construction lending and bonding; labor and employment issues; and traditional lender financing.
Richard began his legal career as a trial attorney for the United States Department of Justice, Immigration and Naturalization Division, where he was hired through the Justice Department’s Honors Program. In 1986, he joined the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted numerous criminal and civil matters before entering private practice in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1989.
Richard is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and has appeared before numerous state and federal courts throughout the United States at both the trial and appellate levels.
Richard has represented a wide variety of businesses, including banks, broker/dealers, real estate developers, leasing companies, franchisees, and numerous other entrepreneurs and business entities. He has experience in all aspects of civil litigation, and has successfully tried cases to verdict and successfully prosecuted appeals.
