How Working With Claimant’s Counsel Can Avoid Potential Reimbursement Hazards and Maximize Your Lien Recovery," focuses on what every WC Subrogation Professional has heard from an injured worker/claimant’s counsel, “Waive your lien!” Working with the claimant’s counsel when there are competing interests for the same pot of settlement money can avoid the myriad hazards associated with the familiar demand that the insurance company must waive or significantly compromise its lien to resolve a claim.

The presentation focuses on the benefits of cooperation with the claimant’s counsel and the methods employed from claim initiation through trial to identify the importance of lien reimbursement while, at the same time, preventing the leveraging tactic of waiver or compromise as a bargaining chip for settlement.
