Andy Ralston to Serve as Chair of the Northampton County Bar Association’s Medical/Legal Committee

1.18.18

Andy Ralston, Counsel in the firm’s Healthcare Group and resident in our Lehigh Valley office, has been appointed to serve as Chairperson of the Northampton County Bar Association’s Medical/Legal Committee, starting in 2018.

The NCBA’s Medical/Legal Committee is responsible for managing and directing the bar association’s efforts to educate its membership about important topics at the intersection of the worlds of law and medicine. As both the clinical and the business aspects of medicine rapidly evolve and change, the Medical/Legal Committee strives to keep its member attorneys informed about how those changes affect the law, their own legal practices, and their clients’ lives. This effort is accomplished through both the periodic presentation of CLE courses and the publication of written updates and news alerts to the bar membership

Andy represents healthcare institutions and medical providers in medical professional liability matters throughout Eastern Pennsylvania. Over the course of his nearly two decades of practice, Andy has represented those clients in all stages of the litigation process, including to verdict as first chair jury trial counsel. He has also taught and published extensively on topics of interest within the medical/legal realm.

In addition to his bar service, Andy is the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of The Velodrome Fund, Inc., which operates the Valley Preferred Cycling Center, the premier bicycling velodrome in the United States.
