Heidi Sorvino Joins White and Williams New York Office

White and Williams is pleased to announce the addition of Heidi Sorvino as Partner in our New York City office. Heidi joins the Business Department and concentrates her practice on corporate restructurings, complex bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings.

Heidi has a strong command of business finance and bankruptcy law and significant experience counseling clients dealing with distressed debt. She represents creditors and debtors through all phases of Chapter 11 and 7 bankruptcy proceedings both inside and outside of the courtroom. She also represents distressed companies, creditors, financial institutions, hedge funds, distressed-debt investors, and indenture trustees through negotiations to avoid the courtroom. She has been at the forefront of bankruptcy law for almost 30 years representing clients before, during and post-recession. 

Heidi has a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work, and draws on skills developed during her graduate studies to partner with clients to fully understand their needs and goals. Known for her ability to articulate and address complex business matters, Heidi is frequently called upon by international news agencies to discuss cutting edge issues. She has appeared as a guest on Reuters Television, Bloomberg TV, and Fox Business News and has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Crain's New York Business, and Dow Jones Newswire.

Most recently, Heidi was a Partner at LeClair Ryan, where she worked alongside current White and Williams’ lawyers Thomas Butler and Nicole Sullivan, who joined the firm in late February.
