Hinshaw Partner Adam Guetzow Named to Chicago Daily Law Bulletin's 40 Illinois Attorneys Under 40 to Watch
The U.S. law firm Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP today announced that Partner Adam Guetzow was selected by Chicago Daily Law Bulletin and Chicago Lawyer as among "40 Illinois Attorneys Under 40 to Watch – 2021."
Guetzow represents companies in the health care and aging services industries in a wide range of risk management and litigation matters. A co-leader of Hinshaw's Adult Long-Term Care practice, he has successfully tried and arbitrated cases in Illinois, New York, Virginia and California, and argued cases before the U.S. District Court in Illinois and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

Since joining Hinshaw in 2009, Guetzow has built a successful litigation and risk management practice and is a go-to resource for clients. He defends long-term care communities and other aging service providers in state and federal courts as well as before administrative and licensing tribunals. He has provided counsel on a number of critical issues, including the Illinois Authorized Electronic Monitoring Act and most recently on issues raised by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Guetzow was at the forefront of the rapidly evolving challenges created by the pandemic. He provided clients with up-to-date advice and counsel on guidelines issued by the Illinois Department of Public Health and CMS on compliance and documentation requirements related to the pandemic.
In addition to his active legal practice, Guetzow is a member of the firm's interviewing committee and Hinshaw University Planning Committee and assists with planning and producing the firm's nationwide attorney training and development programs. He is also actively involved in various professional and trade organizations. He previously served on the board of the Anti-Defamation League, was co-chair of its young leader development program, and served on the Management Committee of the Chicago/Upper Midwest Regional Board. Guetzow also serves on the associate board of CJE SeniorLife and is a member of the Chicago Bar Association.
