Fernando Rivera-Maissonet Selected to Participate in the ABA’s 2024 Collaborative Bar Leadership Academy
The law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is pleased to announce that partner Fernando Rivera-Maissonet has been selected to participate in the American Bar Association’s 2024 Collaborative Bar Leadership Academy (CBLA). The 2024 academy class will convene for an in-person conference in New York City starting on June 23 and celebrate the CBLA’s eleventh anniversary.
The CBLA is a joint initiative between the American Bar Association, its Commissions on Racial and Ethnic Diversity in the Profession and Disability Rights, the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA), the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, the National Bar Association, the National LGBT Bar Association, the National Native American Bar Association, and the South Asian Bar Association of North America. It aims to enhance the pool of diverse bar association leaders by providing a series of training and professional development programs for emerging leaders.

Rivera-Maissonet currently chairs the HNBA Business Law Section and previously served as Vice Chair. He also co-chairs Hinshaw’s Hispanic Latino Affinity Network (HLAN).
Rivera-Maissonet has more than a decade of experience representing financial institutions in a wide range of legal matters. His main areas of practice include consumer financial services, mortgage servicing, and lender litigation. He collaborates closely with his clients to develop cost-effective solutions that align with their business goals.
