Aaron Fredericks provides strategic counsel for clients in a wide range of consumer financial matters. He represents financial institutions, mortgage lenders, and mortgage servicers in state and federal courts throughout Connecticut and Massachusetts in complex commercial and real estate litigation. He defends against claims brought under state and federal consumer protection acts, which include cases of alleged violations of consumer rights and regulations such as:
- Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)
- Real Estate Settlement and Procedures Act (RESPA)
- Truth in Lending Act (TILA)
- Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA)
Aaron handles contested foreclosure actions in Connecticut state and federal courts. He also represents lenders, servicers, and their agents in municipal tax sales and redemptions, in title clearing actions, in response to code violation proceedings, and in defense of property receivership proceedings. Aaron works with his clients to ensure they are well-informed throughout the litigation process and provides them with tailored solutions for their complex legal issues.
Before joining Hinshaw, Aaron strengthened his complex litigation experience with a Boston-based firm. He also practiced with boutique firms in Waltham and Beverly, Massachusetts.
