David Hayek represents domestic insurers, syndicates, and consortiums in the London and European insurance markets. He also represents online platforms in the sharing economy, airlines, other aviation operations, developers, and manufacturers on a broad spectrum of insurance and commercial matters. His extensive experience includes providing counsel and defense to clients for first- and third-party insurance coverage. He also works with clients from diverse fields such as real estate, environmental, construction, products liability, and toxic tort liability. David has represented clients as insurance retained defense counsel and for large, self-insured businesses.
Building upon his experience working with the California Supreme Court, David maintains a successful appellate practice in service to his clients.
Prior to entering private practice in 1989, David served as a law clerk to the Honorable Justice John A. Arguelles of the California Supreme Court.

David is involved in exhibiting, judging and breeding purebred Rhodesian Ridgebacks and Bracchi Italiani in conformation and field events. He also enjoys diving, competitive shooting, and other games of skill.

David is involved in the rescue and rehabilitation of lost or abandoned dogs. He actively participates in local 4-H events and supports various philanthropic causes.
