Trial attorney Jane Hodell defends legal professionals against malpractice claims, protecting their rights and reputation in complex disputes. She also handles construction defect claims, catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases, premises-related claims, product liability, and disputes involving insurance coverage.
Prior to joining Hinshaw, Jane worked at a mid-sized firm in Boston, serving on both local and national counsel teams in toxic tort, product liability, and regulatory compliance.
During law school, Jane gained experience in public health and policy, conducting compliance research for Mercy Hospital Systems, collaborating on publications with the Alliance Against Seclusion and Restraint, and interning at the Centers for Disease Control, where her research in legal epidemiology was presented at the White House in 2022.

Jane is originally from New York City and now lives in Boston’s South End with her husband, their dog Louie, and their cat Trumpet. In the winter, Jane enjoys skiing. She continues to play the violin after first learning the instrument as a five-year-old.
