Jennifer Murillo-Hurtado represents financial institutions and lawyers in consumer finance litigation involving mortgages, state and federal statutes, and class actions in both Florida state and federal courts. She regularly helps clients navigate the resolution of complex and often fraught commercial relationships arising from default, enforcement, and title-related disputes.

Her litigation practice specifically includes defending claims pursuant to:

  • Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)
  • Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act (FCCPA)
  • Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)

During law school, Jennifer interned with the Office of the General Counsel at the United States Department of the Treasury in Washington, D.C.
