Joan Liguoro has practiced law for more than 35 years, including handling first-party insurance defense, federal procurement law, and government ethics matters. Joan represents insurers in high-stakes coverage litigation related to property and casualty, professional liability, employment practices, directors and officers liability, and environmental claims. She also defends against claims of extracontractual liability and state statute violations.
Prior to re-entering private practice, Joan served as deputy chief counsel for the Ethics Specialty Team at the Department of Veterans Affairs, where she gained valuable experience in legal compliance and regulatory matters.
