Kevin Mocogni is an experienced litigator defending professionals in legal and accounting malpractice cases. He also represents clients in a variety of commercial litigation matters, including breach of fiduciary duty and breach of contract. Kevin handles cases in state and federal court from initial assessment through discovery and mediation to trial. He excels in communication, maintaining strong client relationships, and focuses on obtaining efficient results.

Prior to joining Hinshaw, Kevin practiced at boutique firms representing clients in professional liability, commercial litigation, and employment matters, and served as outside general counsel.

  • Granted summary judgment on behalf of accounting firm on a professional negligence claim seeking eight-figures in damages.
  • Protected LLC managers from breach of fiduciary duty and fraud claims brought by former LLC members via a directed finding.
  • Secured client victory on a commercial lease dispute through summary judgment based on contract terms.
  • Achieved dismissal of a Section 1983 claim brought against client.
  • Obtained a favorable resolution for client on fraud and breach of contract claims involving financial transactions with a nationwide bank.
  • Achieved a favorable result for a client in a breach of licensing agreement dispute.

Kevin enjoys golfing and coaching various youth sports teams. He lives with his wife and three children in the Chicagoland area.
