Omar Mulamekic represents financial institutions and mortgage servicers in complex contested mortgage foreclosures and litigation involving the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) in state and federal courts. Omar also represents banks in matters involving the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
Prior to joining Hinshaw, Omar practiced law at a boutique law firm concentrating on consumer finance litigation and at several big law firms focusing on insurance defense litigation. With his varied litigation experience, Omar is passionate about offering creative problem-solving and fierce representation to his clients.
While in law school, Omar was involved in a number of activities, including interning for the Honorable Bernice D. Siegal and participating in the Consumer Justice for the Elderly Litigation Clinic as a student attorney, where he represented elderly individuals in consumer finance litigation matters.

In his spare time, Omar enjoys biking along the Hudson River, hiking, skiing, traveling, and trying new restaurants. Omar was raised in New York City, with roots in Montenegro.
