Biography
Her main area of practice includes general corporate matters and real estate law.
Prior to attending law school, she worked as a Paralegal in the United States Department of Justice Foreign Corruption Practices Act (FCPA) Section in Washington, D.C., where she worked with attorneys in the FCPA section, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. During her time at the FCPA Section she assisted attorneys in trial preparation, drafting subpoena riders, indictments, attorney proffer letters, and safe passage letters.
While in law school, she worked as a student clerk for the Hons. Juan M. Pérez Giménez and Jay A. García Gregory at the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico. She worked at another law firm as Semester Clerk in 2021 and 2022. She also served as a research assistant to Dr. Marta Figueroa Torres at the Inter American University of Puerto Rico School of Law from 2020 until 2022. Ms. Torruella-Pacheco worked at McV as a Summer Associate in 2020 and 2021.
Ms. Torruella-Pacheco, who obtained the 2nd highest score among the 542 aspiring attorneys taking the Puerto Rico Bar Exam on September 2022, received recognition for attaining the highest GPA in the Mortgage Law course and the Notary Law course. She also received the President’s Cup Award for Academic Excellence from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico School of Law.
Ms. Torruella-Pacheco is proficient in Spanish, English, French and Italian.
