Biography
His areas of practice include real estate, commercial and industrial leasing, construction, commercial financing, secured transactions, and the hospitality industry.
He has worked as counsel in a number of large real estate projects, including the development, leasing, and sales and acquisitions of shopping centers such as Plaza Las Américas, Torre de Plaza and Plaza del Caribe, pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities and hotels such as the Caribe Hilton. He also has experience in photovoltaic and wind farm projects.
Mr. Morales-Steinmann has participated in the preparation of the documentation for various Public-Private Partnership (P3's) projects, and has experience structuring and drafting agreements for the leasing of commercial and governmental properties as well as organizing and preparing documents for condominiums (horizontal property regimes).
He is former member of the Puerto Rico Board of Bar Examiners.
Representative Transactions
Recent accomplishments include acting as local counsel for the $115,000,000 Building Loan Agreement for a new five star hotel at the Resort at Cayo Largo in Fajardo, Puerto Rico and the acquisition of the multiple assets of the Coco Beach Resort in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, including the residences, golf courses and country club.
