The Puerto Rico Department of Labor (“PRDOL”) recently launched its redesigned web page, where employers may now download the posters required by Puerto Rico employment laws and print them for proper display, instead of having to obtain them directly from the PRDOL or purchase them from third-party vendors.
These posters reflect the most recent amendments to local employment laws, particularly after the PR Labor Reform implemented through Act 4-2017. The posters must be placed on bulletin boards in areas visible to employees and job applicants. The PR OSHA poster must also be visible to visitors. The posters may be downloaded from http://trabajo.pr.gov/afiches.asp and printed.
Employers must be aware that federal employment laws also require the display of various additional posters, such as the “Employee Rights Under the Fair Labor Standards Act” and the “Employee Rights and Responsibilities under the Family and Medical Leave Act” posters, among others.
