Effective July 1, 2025, the Puerto Rico Department of Health launched a new online portal for license applications and renewals, known as Salud Digital, available at https://saluddigital.salud.pr.gov.
Through Salud Digital, individuals and entities can now submit new applications or renew existing licenses for a wide range of healthcare-related operations. The portal allows for the processing of licenses for hospitals, clinical laboratories, hospices, imaging and radiology centers, home health agencies, ambulatory surgical centers, pharmacies, and other healthcare facilities. Users may also complete licensing processes for health professionals, controlled substances registrations, medical cannabis certifications, and Certificates of Need and Convenience applications.
The new Salud Digital portal replaces the previous system, RenovacionesOnline.com.
