Stinson Restructuring Team Secures Kansas Manufacturing Facility for Flora Food Group
Stinson LLP served as lead counsel to Flora Food Group in its acquisition of a manufacturing facility in Hugoton, Kansas. The facility, which was placed into receivership after being closed earlier this year under previous ownership, will serve as the hub for Flora Food Group's creams and cream cheese products in the United States and Canada.
Stinson attorneys navigated complex receivership and asset purchase agreements to secure the facility for Flora Food Group through a court-approved auction process. They also worked with local and state entities to negotiate necessary permitting and regulatory requirements as well as zoning variances and investments for the site.
With the intent to bring back a fully operational facility and new jobs to the Hugoton community, the acquisition serves as a significant expansion for Flora Food Group's North American operations and will contribute to the revitalization of the Hugoton community.
Led by Partner Nicholas Zluticky, the Stinson team included Partners Aimee Guzman Davenport, Kyle Foote and Zachary Hemenway and associates TJ Homan and Miranda Swift.
