A hands-on problem solver providing comprehensive and empathetic representation to clients regarding government contracts and business litigation
Overview
Bailey has first-chaired more than a dozen jury trials ranging from second-degree felonies to petty misdemeanors. She is a former public defender and grew up as the daughter and granddaughter of Air Force pilots. Bailey uses her past experience and unique perspectives to help clients in matters involving bid protests, suspension and debarment matters, corporate compliance, internal investigations, mandatory disclosures and False Claims Act defense.
Bailey is deeply familiar and experienced in all stages of litigation: from drafting to depositions to arbitration or other alternative dispute resolutions. She also frequently handles construction law matters involving mechanics liens.
Before joining the firm, Bailey was a law clerk for the U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Northern District of Texas in Abilene, Texas. She was also the first attorney waived in to practice law in Florida under the military spouse rule, which enabled her to provide counsel to indigent clients in both misdemeanor and civil commitment proceedings – a passion Bailey continues to pursue.
Her past experience as a journalist gives her a creative outlook on legal topics and the implications of judicial decisions.
