Jason focuses on patent law in the mechanical and electrical arts. He prepares and prosecutes successful U.S. and foreign patent applications, representing clients from diverse industries. He strategizes pre-litigation enforcement of patent rights to build and protect patent portfolios for emerging and established companies through all phases of design, development and production.
Steeped in the complexities of patent law and the underlying science, Jason advises clients on patent infringement issues, prepares non-infringement and invalidity opinions, and performs patentability, due diligence and patent landscape analyses. He leverages his background in biomedical engineering in patent law to advise on a broad range of technologies.
Experience
A registered patent attorney, Jason has represented clients in patent issues involving electric motors, HVAC systems, refrigeration, metal fabrication, electrical support systems, silicon wafer production and processing, internal combustion engines, auxiliary systems for gas turbine engines, pneumatic power tools, thermometry, compression devices, atherectomy devices, angioplasty catheters, surgical instruments, orthoses and LED lighting systems.
