Ohio Provider Resource Association Spring Conference

Vorys Attorneys Suzanne Scrutton and Liam Gruzs spoke at the Ohio Provider Resource Association (OPRA) Spring Conference on April 5, 2019. The title of their presentation was, “The Impact of Health Care Fraud and Abuse Laws on Provider and Patient Relationships.” The presentation provided an overview of the False Claims Act, the Anti- Kickback Statute, and the Civil Monetary Penalty Law’s prohibition on patient inducements, along with considerations providers must be aware of when interfacing with third parties, including employees, patients, and other providers.
