Genomics: Its Evolving Role in Cancer Predisposition, Causation, and Product Liability

Gary Saalman, a partner in the Vorys Columbus office, and Grace Saalman, an associate in the Vorys Columbus office, presented on August 29, 2023.  Their presentation, hosted by the Columbus Bar Association, was titled "Genomics: Its Evolving Role in Cancer Predisposition, Causation, and Product Liability."  They discussed the science of genomics and how genomics are used in the law.  The topics they examined were: 

• Updates on evolving science of genomics
• Recent efforts to use genomics in the law 
• Benefits and limitations of genomics as reflected in current cases
