What to Expect for 2024 Commercial Property Reappraisals

Every six years, all Ohio counties are required to perform a tax reappraisal for all properties.  Based on information learned to date, we are anticipating significant increases for many commercial properties.

Vorys and Colliers co-hosted an event on Wednesday, July 24 featuring the following topics:

• A proactive discussion on the upcoming reappraisal process with county officials from Cuyahoga, Lake, Lorain and Stark counties.
• Information on opportunities to work with county auditors' offices before the process is finalized later this year.
• An update on the status of the Northeast commercial real estate market as of the date of valuation for tax reappraisals, January 1, 2024.
