Duhamel Adds CIPP/E to List of IAPP Certifications

Marcel Duhamel, a partner in the Vorys Cleveland office, recently earned his Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). This is the fourth certification from IAPP that Duhamel has received, in addition to CIPP/US, CIPM and FIP.

Achieving a CIPP/E demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of European data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Duhamel is now uniquely positioned to ensure data privacy and protection of trans-border data flows in Europe.

Duhamel focuses his practice on privacy, consumer protection, complex litigation, class actions, patent and intellectual property litigation and appellate practice. He also counsels clients with respect to privacy practices and allegations of data breach.  In addition, Duhamel has defended class and individual actions raising data privacy, consumer protection, FCRA, TCPA and FDCPA claims. He has advised clients with respect to GDPR compliance and their privacy policies and has counseled clients through the Privacy Shield certification process.
