Edelstein Featured in a Bloomberg BNA Environment Article Titled “Ohio Adopts Hazardous Universal Waste Rules”
David Edelstein, an associate in the Vorys Cincinnati office and a member of the finance, energy and real estate group, was quoted in a Bloomberg BNA Environment article titled "Ohio Adopts Hazardous Universal Waste Rules." The article was about Ohio adopting hazardous waste management standards for paint and the benefits some Ohio companies may see.
The article states:
"The change means several different types of businesses in Ohio will be able to take advantage of the lighter regulations facing universal wastes. For instance, wastes can generally be stored on site for 90 days. but RCRA wastes classified as universal may be stored on site for up to one year.
Only New Jersey and Texas have similar rules on paint wastes, David Edelstein, a former federal RCRA enforcement attorney, told Bloomberg Environment.
'Time will tell, but I think that it's going to help a lot of industries which are both big and small,' Edelstein said."
