Kulwicki Featured in All Rise Story on Tax Law

Laura Kulwicki, of counsel in the Vorys Akron office and a member of the tax group, was featured in an All Rise story titled “1 Degree, 10 Careers.”  All Rise is the quarterly magazine of The Ohio State University Michael E. Moritz College of Law.  The article featured 10 Moritz graduates who now focus on tax law.

An interview with Kulwicki was published as a part of the article and included the following question:

Where do I see tax practice headed in the next 10 years?  

“State tax laws are not able to keep up with the current global marketplace, tremendous advances in technology, and shift from a tangible-goods-based economy to a digital-and-services-based economy. Figuring out how to create and apply state tax structures that take the ‘new economy’ into account, are fair and consistent, and meet the fiscal needs of the states is perhaps the biggest challenge ahead.”
