Lampley Admitted to American College of Trial Lawyers
Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP is pleased to announce that Nathaniel Lampley, the managing partner of the firm’s Cincinnati office, has been inducted into the American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL). The ACTL is composed of the best of the trial bar from the United States and Canada and is widely considered to be the premier professional trial organization in America.
“Nate joins a small and elite group of attorneys who have been selected as ACTL fellows,” said Joe Miller, chair of the Vorys litigation group. “It’s no surprise that he was chosen for this distinguished honor; Nate is widely respected for his successful representation of clients both inside and outside of the courtroom.”
Founded in 1950, fellowship in the ACTL is extended by invitation only, and only after careful investigation, to those experienced trial lawyers of diverse backgrounds who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality. Lawyers must have a minimum of fifteen years trial experience before they can be considered for fellowship. Membership cannot exceed one percent of the total lawyer population of any state or province. There are currently approximately 5,800 members in the United States and Canada, including active fellows, emeritus fellows, judicial fellows (those who ascended to the bench after their induction) and honorary fellows.
Lampley has handled numerous complex business and commercial matters in both state and federal courts. He has first chair civil jury trial experience in a wide range of cases including class actions and significant business disputes. He has also handled several commercial arbitrations before the American Arbitration Association.
In addition, Lampley has spoken at seminars on the subject of successful partnering between inside and outside counsel for the American Corporate Counsel Association and is a frequent lecturer on trial advocacy skills for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy.
Lampley received his J.D. with honors from the University of Cincinnati College of Law and received the American Jurisprudence Award. He received his B.A. with honors from the University of Dayton.
