Lampley to Receive University of Cincinnati College of Law’s 2020 Distinguished Alumni Award
Nate Lampley, the managing partner of the Vorys Cincinnati office, will be one of three individuals to receive the 2020 University of Cincinnati College of Law Distinguished Alumni Award. According to the College, the “Distinguished Alumni Award Recipients exemplify excellence and achievement in the individual's chosen field of practice or profession.” Less than two percent of the College of Law alumni have received the Distinguished Alumni Award. Other recipients include ambassadors, professors, judges and private practitioners.
Lampley is an accomplished civil trial lawyer having handled complex business and commercial matters in both state and federal courts. He has first chair civil jury trial experience in a wide range of cases including class actions and significant business disputes. He has also handled several commercial arbitrations before the American Arbitration Association. He has been recognized repeatedly as an “Ohio Super Lawyer,” an “Ohio Leading Lawyer,” and one of the “Best Lawyers in America.” Lampley is also active in the community, he serves on the board of the Volunteer Lawyers for the Poor and is a member of the UC Alumni Association.
Lampley is a 1988 graduate of the UC College of Law, where he graduated with honors and received the American Jurisprudence Award. He has served on the College of Law’s Board of Visitors since 2005 and its nominating committee since 2007. Lampley received his B.A. with honors from the University of Dayton.
