Vorys Denounces Anti-Asian Prejudice, Violence, and Racism
At Vorys, we are reflecting on and deeply saddened by the tragic murders in Atlanta, as well as escalating anti-Asian prejudice and violence throughout the country. We acknowledge the unique experience of, and painful impact of these events on, the Asian community and offer our unwavering support to our clients, friends, colleagues, and their families. Vorys stands in solidarity with the Asian community in condemning all forms of racism and calling for meaningful progress towards racial equality.
Consistent with our core values and ongoing commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, we will continue to serve as allies and use our collective voice and resources to raise awareness on matters of racial injustice while taking consistent, purposeful action to promote racial equity and inclusion within our firm, our industry, and our communities. In support of this effort, our firm has signed onto the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association’s (NAPABA) “Stand Against Hate” initiative calling for unity and an end to anti-Asian hate. We have very important work ahead of us, and we remain committed to moving towards a more equitable and inclusive world together. Although no one person or entity can bring about the systemic change necessary to end racism in this country, everyone can – and should – do something to promote a just society for us all.
