Vorys Welcomes Seven First-Year Associates
Vorys is pleased to welcome seven new first-year associates to the firm. Christopher LaRocco joined the Columbus office; Lauren Brown, Timothy Dougherty and Laura Erdman joined the Cincinnati office; Natalia Cabrera joined the Cleveland office; and Andrew Gordon-Seifert and Brian Simmons joined the Akron office.
Columbus
Christopher LaRocco joined the litigation group in the Vorys Columbus office. He recently graduated from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where he was the managing editor of the Ohio State Law Journal and a co-founder of The Ohio State Energy Law Society. He was a Vorys summer associate in 2014. Christopher also served as a research assistant to Moritz Professor Christopher Walker. He received his B.A. from Gonzaga University.
Cincinnati
Lauren Brown joined the corporate group in the Vorys Cincinnati office. She recently graduated summa cum laude from the Washington and Lee University School of Law, where she was a member of the Order of the Coif and the lead articles editor of the Washington and Lee Law Review. Lauren was a Vorys summer associate in 2014. Earlier this year, she served as a legal extern for the University of Virginia General Counsel's Office. Lauren received her B.A. magna cum laude from Denison University.
Timothy Dougherty joined the litigation group in the Vorys Cincinnati office. He recently graduated from Vanderbilt University Law School, where he was a member of the Vanderbilt Law Review and a student adviser for the National Moot Court Team. Timothy was a Vorys summer associate in 2014. He was also a legal intern for the United States Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Tennessee. Timothy received his B.A. cum laude from the University of Notre Dame.
Laura Erdman joined the litigation group in the Vorys Cincinnati office after serving as a law clerk to the Honorable William O. Bertelsman in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky. She was a Vorys summer associate in 2013. Laura received her J.D. summa cum laude from Washington and Lee University, where she was the executive editor of the Washington and Lee Review. She received her MPA from the University of Colorado and her B.A. magna cum laude from the University of Maryland.
Cleveland
Natalia Cabrera joined the litigation group in the Vorys Cleveland office. She recently graduated cum laude from the Boston College Law School, where she was an executive articles editor and executive comment editor for the Environmental Affairs Law Review. Natalia was a Vorys summer associate in 2014. She was also a legal intern for the U.S. Dept. of Justice, Environment & Natural Resources Division’s Environmental Enforcement Section. Natalia received her B.A. magna cum laude from Case Western Reserve University.
Akron
Andrew Gordon-Seifert joined the litigation group in the Vorys Akron office after serving for a year as a legal fellow at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. He also worked as a judicial extern for Chief Judge R. Guy Cole, Jr. in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Andrew received his J.D. cum laude from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and his B.A. and B.M. magna cum laude from The Ohio State University.
Brian Simmons joined finance, energy and real estate group in the Vorys Akron office. He recently graduated cum laude from the University of Akron School of Law, where he was a member of the Akron Law Review. He was a Vorys summer associate in 2014. Prior to law school, Brian worked as a commercial real estate broker for First Western Properties. He received his MBA from Roosevelt University and his B.A. from The Ohio State University.
