Waite Quoted About a Trade Investigation Regarding Steel Wire Imports
Frederick P. Waite, of counsel in the firm’s Washington D.C. office, was quoted in a Metal Bulletin story entitled “US wire makers confident in ITC probe.” The story is about a trade investigation into low-priced steel wire imports from China and Mexico.
The story states: "‘The heart of the argument is that prices are unfairly low, and because this is a commodity product it drives the markets down,’ Frederick P. Waite, a lawyer at Vorys, Sater, Seymour & Pease LLP in Washington representing the domestic industry, told AMM. ‘The Mexicans and the Chinese are selling so low that it's hurting (the) domestic industry, causing them to drop prices to meet competition. All of this means losing money and losing sales.’"
