Watt Appointed Chair of OSBA Environmental Law Committee

Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP is proud to announce that Kristin L. Watt, a partner in the firm’s Columbus office, has been appointed to chair the Environmental Law Committee of the Ohio State Bar Association.

Watt has served as secretary and vice-chair of the Environmental Law Committee, and as the 2006 co-chair of the committee’s annual environmental law seminar.

Watt chairs Vorys’ energy and environment group. Her practice focuses on environmental compliance and counseling, enforcement defense, environmental audits and permitting issues. She also assists with due diligence in business and commercial real estate transactions and the contracting provisions related to each. She has special expertise in landfills and petroleum underground storage tanks.

She is also a Columbus Bar Foundation Fellow and has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America since 2008 in the area of environmental law. Columbus CEO identified her as one of the top Columbus lawyers in 2010.

Watt received her B.S.B.A. cum laude and her J.D. with honors from The Ohio State University. An active OSU alumna, she has served on the OSU Alumni Advisory Council, is a past president of the OSU Varsity O Women’s Alumnae Society, and was a member of the OSU Moritz College of Law National Council from 2000-2010.
