Shaw Selected for the 2024-2025 Right of Publicity INTA Committee
Jabari Shaw, an associate in the Vorys Cincinnati office, was selected for the 2024-2025 Right of Publicity Committee of the International Trademark Association (INTA). The Right of Publicity (ROP) Committee monitors and analyzes developments in treaties, case law, legislation, and implementation in various jurisdictions, and proposes policy recommendations to the Board.
Shaw focuses his practice on intellectual property protection, primarily in the areas of trademark and copyright law. He has experience counseling clients on trademark and copyright licensing, trademark filing and enforcement strategies, as well as domain dispute resolution proceedings. Additionally, Shaw has experience counseling athletes and entertainers and helping them structure and utilize sponsorship deals, licensing contracts, marketing campaigns and other promotional activities to help with the commercial growth of their individual brands and personas. His notable experience in this area includes working with collegiate and professional athletes, musicians and influencers to maximize the use of their name, image and likeness.
