Overview
Tim is a patent agent in the Vorys Houston office. He received his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Rice University. While finishing his doctorate, he was a graduate research assistant and a teaching assistant.
Tim has assisted clients with the preparation and prosecution of patents related to downhole tools used in the oil and gas industry, medical devices, hydraulics and pneumatics, mechanical and thermal modeling, computational fluid dynamics software, energy storage devices, machine learning applications, and process engineering.
Notable skills:
- MATLAB/Python programming, thermal energy storage, grant preparation, C/C++ programming, Excel VBA macro writing, 3D solid modelling, Linux coding and simulation
Tim received his B.S. summa cum laude in mechanical engineering from the University of Louisville. He also has received many honors including National Merit Scholar, University of Louisville Honor’s Scholar and three-year Morton Walker Scholarship Award.
