Private Settlement Agreements or Proposed Decanting Statutes: Which Will Be the Better Fit?
Probate Law Journal of Ohio
Michael G. Schwartz, a partner in the Vorys Cincinnati office co-authored an article entitled “Private Settlement Agreements or Proposed Decanting Statutes: Which Will Be the Better Fit?” for the July/August 2011 edition of the Probate Law Journal of Ohio. In the article, the authors outline the differences between private settlement agreements and trust decanting and provide examples of instances where either solution would be appropriate.
The article is a summary of a presentation the authors gave at the Ohio A CTEC meeting in Cincinnati on April 30, 2011.
