Ceiling Collapse Nets Seven-Figure Settlement

Christopher Konzelmann, Partner in the Subrogation Department, recently pursued a contractor to recover an insurer’s subrogated damages in a case involving the collapse of a ceiling at a store located in New York City. Chris, assisted by Counsel William Doerler, aggressively pursued the contractor hired to install the ceiling, including securing partial summary judgment against the contractor on the issue of liability. After the court ruled in the insurer’s favor on the summary judgment motion, Chris settled the insurer’s subrogation claim for a seven figure sum.
