OVERVIEW

Jeremiah Vandermark is Counsel at White and Williams in the Financial Restructuring and Bankruptcy practice group. Jeremiah counsels financial institutions, tech companies and other parties-in-interest in relation to financially distressed businesses, including complex reorganizations, litigation, work outs and financial restructurings. Jeremiah regularly litigates matters before the state, federal and bankruptcy courts of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. 

With a results-oriented, business focus, Jeremiah uses his restructuring experience, substantive bankruptcy knowledge and trial advocacy skills to negotiate and litigate, if necessary, to maximize value for clients.

Separately, Jeremiah has conducted countless hours of pro bono work, from representing a Guatemalan refugee, facing persecution in his home country and seeking asylum in the United States, to representing a small-town Pennsylvania farmer whose property had been destroyed by a large lumber company. Jeremiah is also a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces, having served in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom.

  • Defended against venture capital firm’s attempted foreclosure of client’s IP that was in the custody of chapter 7 debtor
  • Represented cloud service provider regarding assumption of contracts with chapter 11 debtor and compelling payment of multimillion dollar claims related thereto
  • Advised cryptocurrency-related clients in relation to custodial issues and other developments in the bankruptcy proceedings of FTX Trading Ltd., Genesis Global Holdco LLC, Celsius Network LLC, Voyager Digital Holdings, Inc. and Three Arrows Capital Ltd.
  • Represented financiers in the restructuring of distressed aircraft credit facilities following the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Defended against vulture fund’s aggressive foreclosure of client-owned aircraft and completed sale through chapter 11 proceedings to maximize value
  • Represented private credit firm in the acquisition and litigation of billion-dollar financing claims asserted against bankrupt airline
  • Initiated chapter 11 proceedings for distressed New York City commercial real estate developer to stay imminent foreclosure and completed sale of property through bankruptcy to maximize value
  • Recovered millions for commercial real estate investor who had been defrauded by developer’s fraudulent development project
