Join Hinshaw attorney David Levitt as he discusses The Intersection of Hate Speech and the First Amendment.
Hate speech is one of the most important concerns of our times. It is commonly thought that hate speech is protected under the First Amendment, but is it? It turns out that, contrary to misconceptions, there are strong reasons to assert that hate speech is not protected speech, or at least less protected – and this program will explore that issue.
This program is co-sponsored by The Decalogue Society of Lawyers, Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, and the DePaul College of Law Center for Jewish Law & Judaic Studies.
