Eli Marger brings trial-tested litigation experience, having aggressively defended clients from rapid response post-loss investigations through jury trials and binding arbitration. His work representing both insurers and their policyholders enables him to carefully assess multiple aspects of claims, including potential bad faith or excess exposure.

At Hinshaw, Eli represents clients in complex commercial litigation and insurance-related matters, including counseling carriers on extra-contractual claims and insured entities on an array of negligence and business tort claims.

Prior to Hinshaw, Eli was a shareholder at a prominent Florida-based defense firm. He is a graduate of the Wake Forest University School of Law, where he served as managing editor of the Journal of Business and Intellectual Property Law and interned for a federal judge. Eli did his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida and worked in sports analytics with ESPN and the Florida Gators men’s basketball program.

Personal

Eli was born and raised in Florida's Tampa Bay area and enjoys exploring the region and beyond with his wife and two daughters, finding new restaurants, breweries, and mainly playgrounds. He is an avid fan of the Florida Gators and Tampa Bay's professional sports teams.
