Biography
Sophie Livingston is an associate in the firm's Corporate & Business and Intellectual Property Groups. She supports clients on a broad range of matters involving internet, eCommerce, and software transactions. Sophie’s work focuses on licensing and technology agreements, commercial and business transactions, privacy and data security compliance, and intellectual property protection and strategy.
Before joining the firm, Sophie served as Legal Counsel at FICO, where she advised on software licensing, compliance, and commercial contract matters.
She also gained experience as a law clerk in the subrogation department of a California litigation firm and as a legal intern at a Montana law firm, where she supported civil litigation and trial preparation.
Sophie is recognized for her practical, business-minded approach and commitment to assisting clients in navigating complex legal and regulatory issues at the intersection of technology and business.

I WANT YOU TO KNOW
- Prior to joining RCCB, I worked as in-house counsel at FICO, handling commercial transactions within the software and SaaS industry, while also working on intellectual property, data privacy, and corporate compliance matters.
- I earned my J.D. with a concentration in Business and Corporate Law from the University of San Diego School of Law, where I was an active member of the Women’s Law Caucus.
- I spent a year at the University of Georgia, during my undergraduate studies, through the National Student Exchange program.
WHAT MAKES ME UNIQUELY ME
- I’m passionate about the outdoors and spend my free time training for triathlons, traveling to new places, and trail running with my dog, Bill.
- I grew up in Montana, where I spent summers competing in hunter/jumper horse shows.
- I love spending time with family and friends, cooking, attending sports events, and trying new things.
