Overview

Samia is an associate in the Vorys Cleveland office and a member of the labor and employment group.  She has experience in FLSA wage and hour disputes, FLSA collectives, drafting settlement agreements, and providing management and employee trainings.  Samia’s practice also focuses on assisting business clients with immigration-related employment matters, including obtaining approvals of immigrant visa petitions for individuals.  She also represents employers before numerous local, state and federal administrative agencies relating to discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful discharge claims.  Prior to joining Vorys, she was a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge Dan Polster, U.S. District Court of the Northern District of Ohio.  Samia also interned in Washington D.C. for the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate.

Samia received her J.D. magna cum laude from Cleveland State University College of Law where she served as the business editor of the Cleveland State Law Review.  She received her B.A. summa cum laude from Cleveland State University.

Samia is fluent in Arabic.
