David Hanus focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation and class actions, with an emphasis on construction litigation; consumer financial services, including TCPA and FDCPA class actions; employment litigation; fidelity and employee theft; ERISA and life, health, and disability; product liability; and professional liability.
David's practice includes defending employers in claims arising from Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FLSA, wage and hour class actions, and whistleblower litigation. He also advises on day-to-day employment law issues, from hiring and firing decisions to drafting employment policies.
In the area of professional liability, his experience includes architectural and engineering malpractice, legal malpractice, and accounting malpractice.
David joined Hinshaw in 2001 and is the former Co-Partner in Charge of Hinshaw's Milwaukee office. Additionally, David is a former member of the firm's Executive Committee. David was the subject of a profile in Milwaukee's The Daily Reporter on July 26, 2010, titled "Focusing on Philosophy of Law Pays Off."
