Kate Scolaro

Kate Scolaro represents businesses and financial service providers in litigation involving a variety of state and federal consumer laws, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and class action claims. She draws on her experience to help clients navigate the complexities of legal proceedings at all stages, from initial filings to appellate representation.

Prior to joining Hinshaw, Kate was a judicial law clerk for the Honorable JoAnne Kloppenburg of the Wisconsin Court of Appeals, where she gained a unique perspective of the appellate process. Using her knowledge, she provides nuanced and strategic representation to her clients.

As a law student, Kate represented clients in the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth and Eleventh Circuits as a student attorney in Northwestern University’s Federal Appellate Clinic. She also served as a guardian ad litem and made several court appearances on behalf of clients.

Kate was also involved in a number of activities and associations as a student. Notably, she was selected as one of thirty students to join Northwestern’s Moot Court Society and eventually became the president in her second year of law school.
