Preston Buchanan works with insurance companies on complex insurance coverage matters in state and federal courts.
Preston joined Hinshaw as a law clerk while in law school. Prior to joining Hinshaw, Preston gained invaluable experience while interning with federal judges at the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the Enforcement Division of the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission, and a Miami-based regional firm. He was also a research assistant for a legal writing professor and an executive editor of the University of Miami Business Law Review, where his note was published in January 2024.
Before law school, Preston was a practice assistant in the medical device product liability and securities litigation practice groups at the Miami office of another national firm.

Preston was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and grew up in St. Petersburg, Florida. Outside of the office, he enjoys scuba diving and sailing.
